Kir Breton (a must)
The classic cocktail par excellence.
Ingredients:
- 2 cl crème de cassis or another syrup (blackberry, raspberry...)
- 10 cl brut Breton cider
To make:
Pour the crème de cassis into a flute or stemmed glass.
Top up with the chilled cider.
Serve immediately, without stirring.
Tip: You can personalise your Kir Breton by using a raspberry or apple cream to vary the flavours while staying local. Serve it with a few buckwheat pancakes as an appetiser for a complete Breton touch. ?
Pomme Royale
A Breton variation on the Kir Royal.
Ingredients:
- 2 cl Calvados or apple liqueur
- 10 cl brut cider or Breton champagne (if available)
To make:
Pour the Calvados into a flute.
Add the cider or Breton champagne.
Serve chilled.
Breizh Amer
A simple, slightly bitter aperitif.
Ingredients :
- 2 cl Brittany Pommeau
- 6 cl of brut cider
- A touch of Breton bitter (or Amer-Bitter type)
To make:
Pour the Pommeau into a glass.
Add a touch of bitters, then top up with the chilled cider.
Stir gently and serve with a slice of apple to garnish.
The godinette
A cocktail made with lambig, muscadet and strawberry liqueur.
Ingredients (for 10 people):
- 50 cl cider brandy (lambig)
- 375 cl Muscadet
- 10 cl strawberry liqueur
- 500 g strawberries (from Plougastel)
- 500 g raspberries
- 500 g sugar
Preparation:
Place the strawberries and raspberries, cut into pieces, in a bowl.
Add the lambig and sugar and mix.
Leave to rest in the fridge for 24 hours, then add the Muscadet and strawberry liqueur before serving.
Breizh Tonic
A simple, refined cocktail that combines Breton gin with the freshness of tonic.
Ingredients (for 1 glass):
- 4 cl Breton gin (such as Glann Ar Mor or Distillerie de l'Île)
- 10 cl tonic water
- 2 cl homemade apple juice
- Ice cubes
- 1 slice of apple and a few pink berries for decoration
To make:
- 1. Pour the gin and apple juice into a glass filled with ice cubes.
- 2. Top up with the tonic water and stir gently.
- 3. Garnish with a slice of apple and a few pink berries.
Marine Blue
A colourful, iodised cocktail, a tribute to the coast of Brittany.
Ingredients (for 1 glass) :
- 4 cl Chouchen (Breton mead)
- 2 cl blue curaçao
- 10 cl homemade lemonade or sparkling water
- 1 cl lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- A pinch of sea salt for an original touch
To make:
- In a shaker filled with ice cubes, mix the Chouchen, blue curaçao and lemon juice.
- Shake vigorously and pour into a glass filled with ice cubes.
- Top up with lemonade or sparkling water.
- Sprinkle lightly with sea salt for an iodised effect.
Breizh Sunrise
A fruity, tangy mocktail reminiscent of a Breton sunset.
Ingredients (for 1 glass) :
- 10 cl homemade apple juice
- 5 cl blackcurrant juice or blackberry syrup
- 3 cl lemon juice
- 5cl sparkling water or homemade lemonade
- Ice cubes
- A few mint leaves and red fruit for decoration
Preparation:
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the apple juice and lemon juice into the glass and stir gently.
- Gently add the blackcurrant juice or blackberry syrup to create a gradation of colours.
- Top up with sparkling water or lemonade for the final touch.
- Garnish with mint leaves and a few red fruits.
